When you are building an office or a house, the roof should be of the utmost importance for a number of reasons. The first and most obvious reason of course, being that you want something to last for a very long time. When you are dealing with a standing seam metal roof, you are dealing with a type of roof that can stand up to the elements and be with you for many years.
A standing seam metal roof is a very special type of roofing. Rather than being cut at the job site, the metal panels are cut at the factory and they are in the right shape when they arrive. Once they are cut, they can be installed in mere minutes.
As the roof pieces are installed, it creates a watertight seal across the entire roof. This must be done very specifically however. For one thing, there needs to be roofing paper laid down long before the actual metal roofing is laid. Once this is done, a ridge cap needs to be laid across the top of the roof where the gap is. This is not much different from a normal roof, and in some cases this gap is known as the ‘trough' of the roof. For this exercise however, we will be referring to it as the roof vent.
The roof vent plays an instrumental role in a standing seam metal roof because the roofing pieces are actually attached quite nicely to the roof vent. From this the pieces are slipped into place and finally crimped into place. Once this is done, a new ridge cap can be placed above the roof trough.
Let's be clear, while this may not be aesthetically pleasing on a residential house, it is very durable, and long lasting on a commercial building. Metal roofing prices are actually quite low when you consider some of your other roofing options. A standard tar and gravel roofing job can be very expensive, but a 36 foot metal roof may cost as little as $4500. That's definitely not a bad price when you think about the alternative.
There are a number of different companies that will be able to carry out this operation, and you can normally find them by doing a quick internet search or even looking through the yellow pages. One thing to keep in mind however is that you want to find a company that can not only carry it out, but that can carry it out well. Remember that this is your roof, and you want its construction to be in the best hands possible. If you do it right, and check references, you should be able to get a team that can install a decent metal roof for you. There will be a price to pay of course, but you have to admit it would be quite worth it when you have the perfect standing seam metal roof.

Can a tornado destroy a metal building that's suppose to with stand 150 mph wind?
I was wondering..
Because tonight i'm with my friends sleeping in the metal building which is kind of like a house and we're just hanging out partying sorta..And Yeah i wondeering it with stand that? i mean my county is in tornado watch..We could easily run to my house which is about 20 yards from this barn thing..

It depends entirely on how strong the tornado is. Tornadoes above F2 on the Fujita scale - a scale that tells of the intensity, wind speed and damage of a tornado - have winds higher than 157 mph. I hope that you stay safe and avoid any large tornadoes!
